About The Studio
STUDIO HERRSTRÖM is a design studio specializing in brand and campaign work across music, tech, and culture—creating brands that move culture. Founded by Creative Director Erik Herrström, and co-led by Director of Operations and Production Kara Griffin Cushman, the studio is based in Vienna, Austria, and works globally. STUDIO HERRSTRÖM builds visual identities, campaigns, and experiential activations that can’t be ignored.
With a scalable team of 10+ across more than five countries, the studio partners with companies who dare to be different—brands with bold ambitions to shape culture and redefine how people experience it.
The team is guided by core principles that shape every partnership: an obsession with culture, staying close to its shifts to design systems that evolve with how the world experiences music; a belief that deep listening leads to authentic narratives; and a focus on turning passive audiences into lasting fan communities. These principles ensure each project reflects—and helps shape—contemporary culture.
The studio’s portfolio includes long-term partnerships with Spotify, Beats by Dre, Red Bull Music, Sound.xyz, Native Instruments, and Sony Music. The team has also developed work for iconic artists like Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, and MIYAVI, and built brand ecosystems for platforms such as Vault.fm, Discord and Airbnb.
STUDIO HERRSTRÖM’s design process—THE ECHO™—is rooted in the studio’s core beliefs and principles. It begins with deep cultural research and ends in long-term brand impact. Through three phases—Immerse, Create, and Impact —the studio uncovers insights, shapes culturally resonant design, and equips brands to launch with clarity, consistency, and lasting relevance.
